What Can Glacial fx Treat?

Glacial fx uses precision cooling technology to calm inflammation and stimulate naturally clearer and more radiant skin. It can be used to treat a variety of conditions, including:

In addition, Glacial fx can be used to enhance other treatments. When applied following eyelid surgery or an eMatrix™ laser treatment, Glacial fx reduces swelling, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and redness for quicker recovery times and better overall results.

Who Is a Good Candidate?

Glacial fx is safe for use on all skin types. It is non-invasive and won’t cause the pigmentation issues that can make heat-based treatments unsuitable for darker skin tones. How Does Glacial fx Work?  

Similar to CoolSculpting®, Glacial fx uses carefully controlled cooling technology. However, rather than slimming fat through cryolipolysis, Glacial fx instead uses the power of CryoAesthetics®, which rejuvenates the skin by targeting proteins called cytokines. These proteins govern the inflammatory response that can exacerbate issues such as acne and rosacea.

By impeding inflammation and stimulating the skin with a sustained, soothing cold sensation, Glacial fx notably improves patients’ skin quality and health.

What Is a Treatment Session Like?

Glacial fx is a compact system with different modes. At Heights Laser Centre, we use Glacial Gloss (cooling with light microdermabrasion) to encourage cell turnover and reveal skin that is more luminous and evenly coloured. Once the skin has been exfoliated, nourishing topicals are applied to enhance the restorative benefits. Each treatment session lasts 30 minutes.

We also offer Glacial Glide, a shorter, 10-minute procedure that is specifically designed to address chronic skin conditions such as rosacea, psoriasis, and eczema. The application of continuous cold calms the skin and keeps flare-ups at bay. Anyone looking to rejuvenate their skin—whether they have a chronic skin concern or not—can enjoy this no-downtime treatment.

What Results Can I Expect?

Most patients notice immediately brighter, calmer skin following their treatment, with improvements continuing over the next 2 months. Depending on your skincare needs, multiple sessions may be required to achieve your desired results.
