An Easy Complexion Treatment
Chemical Peels can be used to help both men and women reduce common surface issues like lines, wrinkles, age spots, and uneven skin pigmentation. Glycolic peels can also work for anyone wanting to treat acne and renew their skin.
There are different types of Chemical Peels that vary in strength–the stronger the chemical peel, the deeper into the surface of the skin it works, and also, the longer the recovery. Chemical Peels remove that damaged outer layer of skin to reveal the fresh, new skin beneath and it can also stimulate your bodies own production of collagen which can enhance skin firmness and improve skin texture.
The formulations that you’ll receive have been developed by molecular biologists, biophysicists, dermatologists and plastic surgeons. They have been rigorously tested to prove their safety and effectiveness. In fact, numerous studies have shown that the therapeutic ingredients in our formulations can dramatically resolve complexion problems.
- A moderate to significant improvement in melasma (hyperpigmentation) was achieved in patients with darker skin, who experienced no adverse effects to their overall pigmentation, as reported in the Journal of Cutaneous and Aesthetic Surgery.
- Hyaluronic acid and collagen levels were found to noticeably increase, resulting in a remodeling of the skin at a cellular level, as reported in Dermatologic Surgery, the journal of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
- A significant reduction in fine lines and wrinkles was reported by female patients between the ages of 35 and 60 years old in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology.

Glycolic peels are easily done, typically last 15 minutes, and require no down time. There may be a slight stinging sensation when the glycolic peel is applied. Vancouver patients will often notice that their skin is smoother and has a better tone even after one treatment, but best results are seen after a series of treatments three to four weeks apart. For optimum results, glycolic treatments must be followed with appropriate home skincare.
You’ll likely find that this treatment plan is most effective in achieving the results you want. In addition to the immediate improvements you’ll see and feel following every session, you’ll also find that your skin gets better and better as the days pass. This time is necessary to allow your skin to rebuild itself at the cellular level with boosted levels of collagen and hyaluronic acid, making it stronger and more youthful.
To complement your in-clinic treatment, a customized daily skincare regimen will be designed so that you can accelerate your results and maintain them.

Generally speaking, peels aren't painful. More intense formulations may make the skin tingle and be slightly uncomfortable, but even these are tolerated well by our patients.
