Asymmetrical / Thin Lips
Enhance and Redefine Your Lip Contour
Love Your Lips™
The lips are a key aesthetic feature. When it comes to making a first impression, lip volume and symmetry can make all the difference. Asymmetrical/thin lips and lines and wrinkles around the lips may have a negative impact on the way people perceive you. With little effort or discomfort, and virtually no downtime, you can have the perfect, kissable pout over your lunch break with lip injections.

Love Your Lips™
Dr. Jaffer, a board certified physician with over 20 years of experience in performing aesthetic injections, has developed his own treatment, Love Your Lips™. This mini lip augmentation treatment focuses on giving you noticeable, but natural-looking results without going overboard. The goal isn't to give you "trout pout". It's to enhance your lips without other people knowing that you've had anything done.
As a board certified physician-led practice, we have been accredited by the Better Business Bureau since 2009 and have an A+ rating. As our patient, you'll receive high-quality care at every step of your experience with us, from your first visit to recovery. Our team takes the time to get to know each person that comes through our doors and to ensure their comfort during treatment.
Dr. Jaffer created his own lip injections method called the Love Your Lips™ technique. He developed this process because many of his patients expressed their desire for more natural-looking lips when having lip injections. This technique is only available for patients of Heights Laser Centre and allows Dr. Jaffer to provide them with more targeted and precise change. This technique is also considered a min-lip augmentation that will leave you with that perfect, kissable pout.
Lip contouring and wrinkle reduction are achieved through the careful injection of hyaluronic acid fillers in the area. Topical anesthesia is applied to numb the area, and then various amounts of Juvéderm® or Belotero® are injected to achieve the look you desire.
After this quick and effective procedure, the vertical wrinkles above the lips will be significantly reduced, leaving behind smooth, youthful skin. The lips can be shaped to add definition, giving you a subtle and appealing pout. Thin lips can be volumized by our full lip augmentation treatment, which results in full and luscious lips.

After Your Treatment: Recuperation & Results
It is common for patients to want to know all the details about when they can kiss again and how they can kiss again after having lip injections. This is a very legitimate question. After all, what good is a plump pout if you can’t use it? Dr. Jaffer does caution his patients that they may experience some minor pain and swelling on their lips or near the injection sites for several hours after having the treatment. Therefore, you may not be in the mood to kiss anyone, but if you are, he recommends that you wait at least 1-2 days before participating in any “heavy” kissing. This is because the dermal filler will need adequate time to settle and integrate with your lip tissue. However, a light kiss, such as a quick peck on your child’s head or cheek right after your lip injections is perfectly fine and will not damage your results.
Why Are Lips Asymmetrical or Thin?
Supportive collagen and elastin protein fibers in the skin tissue give lips definition and volume. Many people are not genetically blessed with plump lips and do not naturally have as much collagen there.
Environmental factors can have an impact on the appearance of the lips. Exposure to the sun’s ultraviolet rays can sap volume from the lips and create lines and wrinkles. Smoking causes lip volume loss and wrinkles. Various traumas and metabolic issues can also affect the look of the lips.
The aging process tends to have the most impact when it comes to asymmetrical and thin lips. The area loses volume because the tissues’ collagen and elastin protein production rate declines over time. The Cupid’s Bow region at the top of the lips flattens out, and the sides of the mouth droop.
