In Vancouver, many men and women choose to have BOTOX injections as a way to reduce visible signs of aging without going under the knife. At Heights Laser Centre, you can expect amazing results from our very own Dr. Jaffer, who is recognized as an expert in BOTOX by the product’s manufacturer, Allergan. In addition, he regularly participates in professional development courses related to injectables.
If you’re ready to start your BOTOX journey, we’d like to give you a few tips to help you with the experience. Keep reading!
Have a Consultation
First and foremost, you should schedule an initial consultation with Dr. Jaffer before you receive your first BOTOX injection. During this appointment, you will be able to explain your expectations, and Dr. Jaffer will walk you through the BOTOX process.
No Alcohol for at Least 24 Hours Before Your Treatment
Alcohol consumption can cause your blood to thin, which could then lead to excessive bruising at the injection sites. To minimize this side effect, do not drink alcohol for at least 24 hours before you come to Heights Laser Centre for your appointment.
Don’t Wait Until the Last Minute
If you have a big event coming up and want to have BOTOX to prepare, be sure to plan ahead. Don’t wait until the day before your event to receive BOTOX. Come in at least two weeks prior so that the BOTOX will have time to settle and work its magic.
Trust Dr. Jaffer
As we mentioned, Dr. Jaffer is a trusted physician in Vancouver who has been using BOTOX to treat signs of aging for years. Rest assured you’re in good hands during your treatment session.
Follow Dr. Jaffer’s Instructions
When you come in for BOTOX, Dr. Jaffer will give you several instructions during your injections. He will want you to make different facial movements so he can know exactly where to place the Botox. Don’t be shy! Give him your best smile!
Relax
Remember to relax during your BOTOX treatments. These sessions only last about 15 minutes, so take a deep breath and let Dr. Jaffer get to work.
Do Not Manipulate the Treatment Area
When your treatment session is complete, be sure to avoid touching, pulling, pushing, or rubbing the injection sites and treatment area for at least three hours. Doing so could cause the BOTOX to relocate, and your results may be affected.
No Lifting or Straining
After BOTOX, patients should avoid lifting and straining for at least six hours. This is another way to ensure your BOTOX stays exactly where Dr. Jaffer placed it.
Be Patient
Remember, BOTOX results are not immediately visible. It will take about five to seven days before you see your final results, so be patient while you wait. Your younger-looking self is not too far away.
At Heights Laser Centre, Dr. Jaffer and his team are ready to help you become the best version of yourself with BOTOX.
