Heights Laser Centre is Committed to Giving Back to Our Community

At Heights Laser Centre, we understand the value of being a positive contributor to our local and global community. Giving back to the community is our way of saying thank you. As successful members of the community, it is our responsibility to help those who we can help. We happily do our part to contribute to the benefit of others.

The World Partnership Walk raises funds and awareness to fight global poverty. It began in 1985 by a small team of Vancouver women who were originally from Asia and Africa. They voluntarily started raising funds for global poverty by walking and fundraising. Originally, they were joined by 1,000 other walkers and raised $55,000 in donations.

Today, the World Partnership Walk is Canada’s largest annual event dedicated to raising funds and awareness to fight global poverty. Since 1985, they have raised over $70 million for international development programs and initiatives. In 2011, 40,000 people in 10 cities across Canada raised almost $7 million.

Our team has taken part in the Global Walk for Poverty since 2011. We walked along thousands of Vancouverites to raise funds to increase awareness and to fight global poverty. 100% of funds raised by the World Partnership Walk go directly to fund international development projects. Not one cent is spent on administration.

The Heights Laser Centre is proud to have raised $9,906.00 since 2011 to help end global poverty. Our donations have been raised from a portion of our BOTOX and JUVÉDERM services.

Thanks to our team, our supporters and everyone who donated. You helped make our walks a success!
