Undereye bags and droopy eyelids are often symptoms of aging. The thin skin of the eyelids is prone to aging early and can leave you looking older and tired all the time. With the blepharoplasty procedure, you can refresh the appearance of your eyes and treat the signs of aging.
A blepharoplasty procedure is performed on the upper and/or lower eyelids, depending on the patient’s specific goals. Anesthesia (typically local) is involved to ensure the patient is comfortable. Incisions are made along the natural creases of the eyelids to ensure that surgical marks are well-hidden. The procedure takes about one to two hours, depending on the technique.
